Global Heritage Stone Resource

This designation seeks international recognition of those natural stone resources that have achieved widespread utilization in human culture.

The proposal is a project of the Heritage Stone Task Group (HSTG) of the International Union of Geological Sciences and the International Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment (IAEG) Commission C-10 Building Stone and Ornamental Rock.
